In sports, injuries happen and are almost guaranteed. The goal as an athlete is to do your part to strengthen your body enough to have the best fighting chance against them. It also should be a goal to have a good support system in place for when they do happen to help you get back into the full swing of things. I suffered with a lot of injuries as a player which caused me to miss out on most opportunities I had to go further than I did as a soccer player. It also caused me to miss a ton of time playing throughout my career.

So I’ve made it a mission to make sure I teach, educate, and guide the younger generation in the area of injury prevention healing and workload management. Growing up as a player I didn’t have this guidance and I paid the price for it. I don’t have the level of knowledge in this field that a professional working in it does so my mission has always been finding one. Luckily, through a mutual friend, I crossed paths with Steve and found the person I was looking for.

Steve is an awesome character, very nice to work with, and personable. But the reason I continue to work with him is that he is very gifted and talented at his craft. I sensed that the first day we met and after a few sessions I could confidently say my senses were right. I saw positive results right away which was big for me at that time because I was losing faith and got discouraged after multiple run arounds with the health system. I injured my ankle playing and got an injury I’ve never had before that unfortunately takes forever to heal and takes lots of consistency with strengthening.

Steve was very insightful on the process of healing and prevention. Although I’m still in the process of healing because of a lack of consistency and discipline on my part, Steve helped me lay out a game plan which every time I follow, I start seeing results right away and that gives me lots of confidence to stay the course and believe that there’s light at the end of the tunnel. Daily movements were very tough for me with my injury and after doing the exercises and routines he gave me I can now do them fine and now it’s just been about getting rid of the issue overall so I can get back to fully playing and exercising.

After delivering for me, I now confidently send over my students to him to help them with any injuries they have but also working on injury prevention plans which he has always delivered on. And we are currently working on ways to collaborate to come up with a game plan to help our students take care of their bodies for the work load they put on it.
